How do I register?
Registration opens January 4th, 2021. Signup HERE!
What if I register but then have a change of plans?
Please notify RIT SWE so we can accept other participants from the waitlist.
How often is this event held?
The What is Engineering? (formerly SWE Overnight) program is offered annually for female high school juniors (11th grade).Normally the event is help in person and the girls are able to spend the night on campus, however due to the COVID-19 pandemic, adjustments were made this year to hold the event virtually.
What should I wear?
Clothing can be casual attire: please make sure clothing is not provocative in any way.
Do I need to attend all five Zoom sessions?
No. You can attend whichever sessions you want to, however attending all five will give a fuller experience.
Can parents attend?
Parents, family members, and guardians are invited to join us on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021 from 7:00PM to around 7:30PM for a welcome session. Parents are then excused, while participants continue with the What is Engineering? (formerly SWE Overnight) program. We ask that the rest of the Zoom sessions remain just the students so that they can receive the most personal experience possible.
Are there access services available?
Sign language interpreting or real-time captioning is available upon request.
